WMNC 2009 Paper submission guidelines

The authors are encouraged to submit full papers describing original, previously unpublished, complete research, not currently under review by another conference or journal, addressing state-of-the-art, research and development in all areas of interest of WMNC 2009 (Track topics: PWC, WMNC, WSAN, IoT, IMS).

Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings, to be published in hardcopy format by Springer in the Wireless and Mobile Networking series and made available online at www.springer.com. Selected extended papers will be published in a special issue of the Telecommunication Systems journal. A number of student travel grants will be awarded by the TPC. Best paper awards are also foreseen.

Papers must be submitted electronically. Manuscripts should be submitted by March 1st, 2009 to the EDAS paper submission website: EDAS paper submission page. PDF and MS-Word formats are accepted. However, PDF format is preferred. The first page must contain an abstract of 50 to 200 words, name and affiliation of author(s) as well as the corresponding authorĀ“s e-mail and postal address. During paper submission process, autors will also be asked to choose conference track (PWC, MWCN, WSAN or IoT) and overall paper topic(s), which will be used to assign the paper to an appropriate conference session. Final paper preparation for accepted submissions

The maximum size of a FINAL paper for accepted submissions is 12 pages formatted according to Springer LNCS format. Please follow Guidelines for manuscript preparation. Only MS-Word or LaTeX formats are accepted.

The final paper should be uploaded to EDAS as a zip file containing:

  • MS-Word (doc or rtf) or LaTeX source files created with use of Springer-provided templates.
  • For LaTeX files: a final DVi file.
  • Image files in formats and resolutions accepted by Springer - preferably TIFF or EPS.
  • A final PDF file for reference.

A copyright form signed by one author on behalf of all the authors of the paper will also be required, before you can upload your final manuscript. Please upload a signed form to EDAS as a PDF file. As a tentative book title write: "Wireless Mobile Networking".

At least one of the authors is REQUIRED to register and attend the conference to present the paper.

Authors that received conditional accept (minor/major revision notification) are required to resubmit their revised paper (EDAS paper submission page), before they will be allowed to upload final manuscript. To to this you need to find your paper in "My Papers" tab and display its details by clicking its title. A page will open containing details of your submission. Click an upload icon titled "Final manuscript" and upload your revised version. We will review your paper and, in case of acceptance, it will be displayed on your EDAS home page, with icons allowing upload of copyright form and final camera-ready paper. Camera-ready paper submission for such revised papers is extended to May 20, 2009.
